These are the best National Parks to visit!
If you are looking for family vacation ideas or you're just going on a road trip we highly recommend these five National Parks! Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon & Canyonlands in this order were our favorites. Every National Park is unique in its own way but all of them are worth the travel.
It all started out as a road trip idea for us. We spent a lot of time researching about the top National Parks to visit and we decided on these. They are all located relatively close to each other which made it an adventurous vacation. They also had a lot of places to go hiking and some of the best views in the United States.
#1 Zion National Park -This was by far our favorite out of all of them. From the moment you drive into this park, you will be amazed! Two of the best hikes in Zion were the narrows hike and canyon overlook trail! Both of these were great hiking trails, but some were hard for our group at times. We highly recommend getting Zion outfitters rental gear for the narrows hike! Specifically, the hiking stick and the boots they were a game changer!
#2 Arches National Park - The best hikes in Arches National Park were the Delicate Arch trail, Fiery Furnace, and Landscape Arch. Each was an adventure of its own. The Fiery Furnace hike requires a permit and is considered very difficult. If you decide to go there, get the alltrails app and download the map, or you will get lost more than what is considered normal! It is a maze, and getting turned around inside of there happens more than you would expect!https://www.alltrails.com/
#3 Bryce Canyon National Park - The best hikes at Bryce Canyon were walking down sunrise point trail and through the valley and back up into sunrise point. Than you can take the Bryce Canyon rim trail back to the parking lot where you parked. There are a ton of hiking trails you can take within this bigger loop and a lot to see! Another great place to stop while you're here is Bryce Point & Inspiration Point. Both are incredible views of the vibrant color scenery!
#4 Grand Canyon National Park - We didn't do much hiking here; we stopped at viewpoints on the Grand Canyon North Rim! To name a few of our top choices - Bright Angel, Point Imperial, Cape Royal, Walhalla & Roosevelt. All of them were very easy to access, which we thought was great. The views here were unbelievable and unlike anything we had ever seen!
#5 Canyonlands National Park
- At this park, we also took advantage of the numerous viewpoints at the Island In The Sky District. The National Park System did a great job with putting signs in easy-to-see locations. The best hikes were Mesa Arch, Schafer View Trail, Buck Canyon, Orange Cliffs, Upheaval Dome, and Grand View. If we had to pick two of our top favorite trials we would say Mesa Arch and Schafer viewpoint trail.
These are in our opinion are the Top 5 National Parks to visit! We will be releasing more blog and vlog content from this trip in the future. We have a lot of inside tips and tricks we want to share and some awesome footage we got while on our road trip! If we had to choose our Top National Park we visited on our vacation we would choose Zion by far! This entire road trip was an experience that none of us will get and we will cherish it forever.
We hope that this can help you when your planning your next family vacation or road trip through our beautify National Parks!
Take care and happy trails everyone!
